Abstract

A sequence of magnetic resonance imaging of the skull of a 55-year-old white male patient with a two-year history of headache and repeated sinusitis is presented (Fig. 1). In panel A, in coronal T1 sequence, eccentricity of the infundibulum and predominantly hypointense rounded image are observed. In panel B, the sagittal T1 sequence shows multiple polypodial images that occupy the frontal and maxillary sinuses, a mixed component lesion that bulges the sella turcica. In panel C, coronal T2 sequence, a predominantly hyperintense occupying image of the sella turcica is observed. In panel D, sagittal T2 sequence, the presence of polypoid pansinusopathy and Rathke's pouch cyst with mixed component is confirmed.
