Bacterial Resistance to Gram-positive Germs at the Intensive Care Unit

The gram-positive germs are the causative agents of multiple hospital infections which are frequently serious. Among them,. The staphylococcus aureus and streptococcus have developed resistance to different antibiotics by diverse mechanisms. Others like Streptococcus pneumoniae has shown high resistance to penicillin and to other group of antibiotics. Antibiotic sensitivity routine tests are critical in all of the isolates coming from samples with clinical significance as blood culture media can be, samples of cerebrospinal fluid and other sterile fluids.Downloads
