Abstract
The first descriptions of inflammation was about 3,500 years ago found them in the Ebers papyrus. The systemic inflammatory response syndrome is a systemic inflammatory process secondary to a documented infection (sepsis), or other non- infectious conditions. A descriptive and observational study was carried out to characterize the behavior of the information system of the systemic inflammatory response syndrome during 2010-2012. Surveillance system is characterized by some selected variables, data were collected from the statistical department of the provincial center of hygiene, epidemiology and microbiology, it was concluded that the highest percent of cases were diagnosed in the emergency departments, the greatest admited number was in the first two stages, to prevail as main causes the acute respiratory infections, and as result the higher percentage of patients discharged alive.Downloads
