Frecuencia de portadores de hemoglobina s y c en la provincia de Ciego de Avila
Abstract
Se realizó un pesquisaje de hemoglobinas anormales en 10536 embarazadas de la provincia Ciego de Avila , determinandose que ,los fenotipos AS y AC se encuentran en el 1,61% y el 0,29% respectivamente de la población total. La distribución de estos fenotipos por municipios, mostró una mayor incidencia en Bolivia (2,70%) y Venezuela (2,40%) y muy baja en Chambas y Majagua (0,67% y 0,75%), lo que se sugiere pueda deberse a diferencias en la composición racial de estos municipios .La frecuencia de los genes beta A , beta S y beta C se calculó para la provincia de Ciego de Avila y se compararon con las calculadas en otras provincias del país así como en algunos países de Centroamérica, discutiéndose el papel de la mezcla racial y los factores selectivos en el valor de las frecuencias encontradas.Downloads
