Colloidon baby seven years later. Case Report
Abstract
Introduction: within genodermatosis, congenital ichthyosis are the result of genetic mutations that disrupt the formation of the epidermis, especially cornification processes. The term collodion baby defines a rare skin disease of the newborn, characterized by a thick membrane covering the body surface area.
Case report: a case of a collodion baby coming seven years later is presented. Male patient, white, 7 years old, eutocic delivery at 38 weeks gestation, weighing 3300 g, apgar8/9, without relevant family history or other obstetric data of importance.
Conclusions: the patient has kept track by the Dermatology Consultation periodically during the seven years; it has been incorporated to the treatment the psychological monitoring and social workers, receive primary education in his home in order to improve his quality of lifeDownloads
