Dengue outbreak in Ciego de Avila city.
Abstract
A descriptive observational research to characterize dengue outbreak occurred in Ciego de Avila from week 37/2011 to week 09/2012, the universe was represented by the total of confirmed cases of dengue in seven popular councils urban area of Ciego de Avila, the dengue outbreak was characterized for being females and the adult population the most represented in Dengue morbidity during the outbreak. Popular councils with the most relative importance of febrile syndrome regarding confirmed cases were the most transmission, showing this indicator tracer qualities. The greater acceleration in the transmission of the disease was observed in the following popular councils: Roberto Rivas Fraga, Angel Alfredo Pérez Rivero, Pedro Martínez Brito and city center, coinciding with the territories that held longer the category of "Very High transmission risk" and "high risk of transmission."Downloads
