Comportamiento de las infecciones nosocomiales en el servicio de cirugía hospital provincial docente

Abstract

Con el objetivo de conocer el comportamiento de las infecciones nosocomiales en el servicio de Cirugía del hospital provincial Antonio Luaces Iraola, se revisaron las historias clínicas de los pacientes egresados en el año 2001 y los registros de infecciones nosocomiales del servicio comprobándose que el grupo de edad más afectado fue el comprendido entre 31 y 50 años , la mayor prevalencia se encontró en la sala de hombre , la causa más frecuente fue la sepsis de la herida quirúrgica y los gérmenes más frecuentes cultivados fueron los Estafilococos y la Echerichia colis.
