Risk factors of chronology tooth eruption alteration in Baraguá population.
Abstract
It was carried out an observational study of cases and controls, in the population of 3 months old to 19 years old in the health area of the municipality Baraguá in Ciego de Avila province, during the period September 2011 to September 2012, in order to establish the chronology and clinical eruption sequence for the primary and permanent dentition, and to identify risk factors associated with the outbreak early and late tooth eruption such as heredity, maternal medical history, low birth weight,6
nutritional assessment child underweight and local risk factors. The universe was made up of 1134 children; they were analyzed in two groups, one study group and a control one. The first tooth to erupt was the lower central incisor in primary teeth and the first molar in the permanent dentition. The general sequence of the outbreak in the permanent dentition was similar to the 1989 National Study of the eruption that was ahead in mixed race patients in both dentitions. Risk factors: inheritance, low birth weight, underweight nutritional assessment and local statistical significance associated with chronological changes in clinical eruption, except children with maternal medical history.
