Emphasis has lately been laid upon the educative and cultural functions of tutorship and the influence of the information facilities on the communities of users, taking into account their specific needs. Taking this into consideration an information subsystem on the user is implemented at the Ciego de Avila Medical Sciences Provincial Information Center; in order to know their informative and formative needs and then from this knowledge adapt our sevices to the categories and groups of priority users. The "Guía Metodológica para el Estudio de las Necesidades de Información y Formación de Usuarios" by Israel Nuñez Tapia has been modified by the authors and adapted to the conditions of the center. The priority levels established in the municipality of Ciego de Avila have been worked upon. Along with the completion of this work, the universe of users that the facility must assist was determined; the categories or samples of users as well as their priority levels are conformed to be brought up to date. Some informative products are also designed according to the needs of the users.Downloads
