Gran litiasis submandibular. Presentación de un caso.
Abstract
La litiasis salival es una afectación consistente en la obstrucción mecánica de la glándula salival o de su conducto excretor, debido a la formación de concreciones calcáreas o sialolitos que determina un éxtasis salival, lo que provoca la dilatación del sistema de conductos o de la glándula salival. La Sialolitiasis supone el 30% de la patología salival y afecta principalmente las glándulas submandibulares. Se presenta el caso de un paciente masculino que acude a consulta de Máxilo facial por presentar aumento de volumen en suelo de boca izquierdo, diagnosticado como Litiasis submandibular. Se realiza exéresis con anestesia local. La evolución es satisfactoria.
