Clinico-epidemiological behaviour of leprosy in Moron municipality during 1998-2002 period.

A longitudinal retrospective study was aconducted in order to know the clinico-epidemiological behaviour of leprosy in the municipality of Morón the time period 1998-2002. The population under study enrolled 30 cases of leprosy. This disease constituted a health problem in the municipality as the prevaleace rate is over 1 casex 105 inhabitants. The year 2000 showed the higbest rate. The most frequent clinical manifestation is the BT disease. More than third of cases of leprosy were diagnosed without incapability. No case of the disease has been reported as incapability II. More than half of patients are detected through the dermatineulologic examination performed by the family doctor on his risk population.Downloads
