Comportamiento de las meningoencefalitis bacterianas en el Hospital Provincial “Dr. Antonio Luaces Iraola” en Ciego de Avila. Año 2001-2005.
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio descriptivo retrospectivo para conocer el comportamiento de las meningoencefalitis bacterianas en el Hospital Provincial Docente “Dr. Antonio Luaces Iraola” en Ciego de Ávila durante los años 2001_2005. Se analizan las tasas de morbilidad y mortalidad por meningoencefalitis bacteriana la frecuencia de aislamiento de los diferentes microorganismos, así como los índices de letalidad en los diferentes años comprendidos en el estudio. Los años de mayor morbilidad fueron el 2001 y el 2004, los municipios Ciego de Ávila y Majagua fueron los de mayor morbilidad de la enfermedad, la tasa de mortalidad más alta fue en el año 2001, el mayor índice de letalidad correspondió al año 2001 con 66, 6%. El neumococo fue el microorganismo aislado con mayor frecuencia, Los resultados obtenidos nos permiten valorar la efectividad de la vacunación en nuestra población.Downloads
