Necesidad de una unidad de cuidados coronarios para el ingreso de pacientes con síndrome coronario agudo
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio observacional longitudinal descriptivo prospectivo que incluyó 476 pacientescon infarto agudo del miocardio (72% de las cardiopatías isquémicas) que fueron ingresados en el
Servicio de Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital General "Capitán Roberto Rodríguez Fernández" de
Morón durante el quinquenio 2006-2010, para demostrar la necesidad de crear una Unidad de
Cuidados Coronarios para el ingreso de pacientes con síndrome coronario agudo. Predominó la
forma clínica con dolor en el 92,4% de los pacientes y su localización más frecuente fue en la cara
anterior. El 61,3% clasificó como Killip I. En el 55,4% el diagnóstico fue oportuno (<6 horas). La
trombolisis se realizó al 64,7% de los pacientes y la principal causa de no trombolisis fue el
diagnóstico tardío. El 84,0% de los pacientes tenían como antecedentes patológicos la
hipertensión arterial. El 31,5% presentaron trastornos del metabolismo de los lípidos y el 13,4%
eran diabéticos. El 79,8% de los pacientes egresaron vivos y el 20,2% fallecieron. Se demostró
así la necesidad de una UCC para el ingreso de pacientes con Síndrome Coronario Agudo
