Onlay bone graft used as chin bone donor area. A case report

Abstract

Introduction: a literature review about bone graft and donor sites of bone and its possible complications was carried out.

Objective: a case of a study patient in Multidisciplinary Consultation of Dental Implantology, which underwent onlay bone graft prior to the completion of the dental implant and its prosthetic rehabilitation.

Discussion: there are cases where the lack of bone in anteroposterior way difficult dental implant. In these cases a bone graft should carried out prior to dental implant and in this case the chin was used as bone donor area for bone grafting. The work is illustrated with photographs of surgery.
