The professional improvement of the comprehensive general medicine specialist for the home teaching visit pass

Introduction: from medical care, teachers specializing in Comprehensive General Medicine assume teaching in on-the-job education of the Medicine career.
Objective: to characterize the current state of the improvement of the specialist teacher in Comprehensive General Medicine for the development of the home teaching visit pass.
Methods: a pedagogical research was carried out with a quantitative-qualitative approach, derived from the training of the Master's Degree in Medical Education. Theoretical methods (analytical-synthetic and inductive-deductive) and techniques such as documentary analysis, survey of specialist teachers and observation of nine home teaching visits in the North University Polyclinic area were used.
Results: in reviewed documents, the professional improvement actions planned for teachers do not make it possible to deepen the contents on the home teaching visit pass.
Conclusions: the characterization of the professional improvement process on a home teaching visit pass showed the need to restructure the contents of the improvement
