Alcoholic cirrhosis mortality. Five years study

An observational descriptive and retrospective study was done to know the mortality due to alcoholic cirrhosis in the General Provincial Hospital "Roberto Rodriguez" in Morón, during the period between 1998-2003. The more relevants results found were: alcoholic cirrhosis constituted the 60.6% of all cirrhosis, male sex, and aged group from 50 to 64 years were the most affected. The 7,0% of the alcoholic cirrhosis developed an hepatocarcinoma, bronchopneumonia and septic shock were the more direct and frequent cause of death.Downloads
