Postraumatic stress in Children
Abstract
Años atrás al estrés postraumático solía llamársele “fatiga de combate”, y los estudios realizados se centraban casi siempre en los veteranos de guerra. En la actualidad la situación es muy diferente: no hay que ser soldados para que se nos diagnostique tal enfermedad, sino simplemente supervivientes de un suceso traumático. A esta situación son particularmente sensibles los niños, especialmente aquellos que son sometidos a una intervención quirúrgica sin una adecuada preparación psicológica.
