Epidemiología del riesgo reproductivo preconcepcional de causa genética. Policlínico Norte, municipio Ciego de Ávila
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo con el objetivo de caracterizarepidemiológicamente el riesgo reproductivo preconcepcional de causa genética en el policlínico
norte, municipio Ciego de Ávila, en el período comprendido entre abril de 2009 y abril de 2010. El
universo estuvo constituido por 1600 mujeres con riesgo reproductivo preconcepcional; la
muestra quedó conformada por 900 mujeres con riesgo reproductivo preconcepcional de causa
genética que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión. Predominó el riesgo preconcepcional
genético para alteraciones cromosómicas. Más de la mitad de las pacientes no se encontraban
controladas y la principal causa de descontrol fue el desconocimiento del riesgo, con una mayor
representación en el grupo de mujeres no controladas. Se recomienda llevar a cabo acciones
encaminadas a seguir preparando a los profesionales de la Atención Primaria de Salud sobre el
manejo del riesgo genético preconcepcional e incrementar la pesquisa activa de este a nivel de
los consultorios del médico de la familia
