Repercusión de los programas de genética prenatal en la mortalidad infantil de la provincia Ciego de Ávila
Abstract
En el presente estudio se estimó la repercusión del programa de Genética Prenatal en la mortalidad infantil. Se determinó el número de abortos terapéuticos por anomalías congénitas que se diagnosticaron por medio de la cuantificación de alfafetoproteinas en suero de gestante, así como el diagnóstico prenatal (DPN) por ultrasonido en el periodo comprendido de 1987 a 1993. Posteriormente se realizó el cálculo de la tasa de mortalidad infantil durante esos siete años. Se encontró que con la acción de los programas de diagnóstico prenatal esta fue de 11,7 y de no estar aplicándose la misma fuera sido aproximadamente de 12,9; cifras entre las cuales se observa una diferencia de 1,2 lo que corresponde con el intervalo reportado por otros autoresDownloads
