Abstract

A case-control analytic study of Trichomona vaginalis in women of a health area of the province Ciego de Avila, Cuba, was performed . 100 cases diagnosed by direct microscopic examination and an equal number of controls were taken as sample. A previously validated survey was filled with data of both cases and controls. Odds ratio and confidence limits for the 95% were calculated in risk factors such as educational level, occupation, early starting or sexual intercourses and having three or more sexual partners in a six months period.
