Evaluación de la estrategia de gestión integrada en el control de una epidemia de dengue
Abstract
Se realizó una investigación evaluativa para evaluar la estrategia de gestión integrada aplicada durante la epidemia de dengue ocurrida en la provincia de Ciego de Ávila en el segundo semestre del año 2006. El universo de la investigación estuvo constituido por la población total de la provincia de los municipios con casos diagnosticados y transmisión de dengue demostrada (objeto de la estrategia de gestión integrada) y el subsistema de higiene, epidemiología y microbiología del sector salud y las direcciones de comunales de acueducto y alcantarillados de los propios municipios y provincia (sujeto de la estrategia de gestión integrada), se establecieron rangos de evaluación de “aceptable”, “mínimo aceptable” e “inaceptable” para cada dimensión, componente y evaluación general de la estrategia. La evaluación de la estrategia de gestión integrada como resultado del proceso evaluativo de las dimensiones de estructura, proceso y resultados del componente vectores (inaceptable), componente epidemiología (mínimo aceptable), componente atención médica (mínimo aceptable), componente laboratorio microbiológico (aceptable) y componente medio ambiente (inaceptable), resultó “inaceptable” en el control de la epidemia de dengue ocurrida en la provincia de Ciego de Ávila desde el mes de junio del año 2006 hasta el mes de enero del año 2007Downloads
