A redesign proposal of the Science Technology and Society program in Medical Universities from a cultural historical approach
Abstract
This work tackles the theoretical and methodological meaning of L. Vigotsky historical–cultural approach for the professional development process in Medical Universities, especially for the redesign of a Science Technology and Society program. Authors pay attention to the meaning of learning strategies for their aspiration to contribute to the integral formation of the individual, and the development of competitions that allow them to be creative and critical. The ethical dimension of theScience Technology and Society program is explained and constitutes another aspect treated in the cultural historical approach and the relevancy of applying the theory of psychic development of the character and content. Also the meaning of categories is suggested by Vigoski such as activity, culture and relationship between education and development.
