Riesgo de muerte súbita en 8 pacientes asistidos en el Hospital Provincial de Ciego de Ávila de Enero de 2006 a Febrero de 2009
Abstract
Se realizó una investigación descriptiva de corte transversal en 8 pacientes, precisando lossíntomas premonitorios que constituyen la expresión de una descompensación aguda del corazón,
las causas de muerte súbita como expresión de complicaciones en las enfermedades asociadas, y
la diferenciación entre los tipos de muerte súbita en la población estudiada. El objetivo del estudio
fue describir los factores de riesgo de muerte súbita, se organizó un formulario para recoger los
datos individuales, pesquisados de las historias clínicas y de estadística provincial, empleando los
porcientos, reflejándolos en tablas de distribución de frecuencia para su mejor comprensión, todos
los datos obtenidos se compararon con la literatura nacional e internacional actualizada, lo que
permitió concluir el predominio de los mayores de 65 años, la igualdad del sexo, el predominio del
morfotipo racial blanco, además que la hipertensión arterial fue la enfermedad asociada más
frecuente, el predominio del tabaquismo, así como el consumo de grasa animal, el sedentarismo,
el estrés; entre los síntomas premonitorios predominaron las palpitaciones, con respecto a las
causas de muerte la fibrilación ventricular y el infarto agudo del miocardio fueron la mayor
expresión, y en cuanto a la diferenciación la máxima exponente fue la muerte súbita cardíacaa
cardíaca.
