Cornea plana congénita
Abstract
La córnea plana congénita (CPC) ha sido descrita principalmente en familias finlandesas, informándose de pocos casos a nivel mundial. Dos formas hereditarias de CPC se han reseñado, una autosómica dominante con síntomas moderados y otra recesiva más severa. Fueron estudiados 21 pacientes de una familia de grupo racial negroide, diagnosticándose a 10 portadores de CPC en su forma dominante, encontrando que cuatro de ellos presentaban un glaucoma de ángulo estrecho, uno en fase de atrofia óptica glaucomatosa. Las queratometría estuvieron comprendidas entre valores de 36-41 Dioptrias (D) en los afectados que a su vez prestaban asociación a microcórnea. Se realizaron dos ultrasonografías en las cuales los diámetros oculares anteroposteriores fueron normales, pero con acortamiento en la profundidad de la cámara anterior.
