The Medical Sciences University of Ciego de Ávila in the XXVII National Forum of Medical Sciences, Pinar del Río 2016
Abstract
At present, both in Cuba and in other countries there is great interest in the process of training of investigative skills in Medical Sciences students, recognized as necessary to raise the quality of public health. In June 2016, the XXVII National Forum of Medical Sciences was held in Pinar del Río; this is an important space for the dissemination of science from the student perspective. The Medical Sciences University of Ciego de Ávila participates in this forum with investigations that, from year to year, stand out for their methodological quality and thematic innovation. In its XXVII edition 15 works were presented: two bibliographical reviews and 13 investigations; two of the latter were awarded. The discrete results obtained by the province in the event may be conditioned, mainly, by the deficient methodological revision of the works and the insufficient preparation of the students who presented them; hence, it is essential to work together between tutors and student researchers, with due supervision by other professionals of high scientific categories who in most cases remain outside the teaching-research process student.Downloads
