Sífilis adquirida por lactancia materna. Notificación de un caso
Abstract
La sífilis es una enfermedad de variable sintomatología, que puede simular las más disímiles enfermedades; no respeta edad, sexo ni raza, y aunque la trasmisión sexual es la forma de contagio más frecuente, no debemos olvidar otras, como la sífilis adquirida secundaria al contacto directo con tejidos infectados. En nuestro trabajo se presenta un transicional de 17 meses de edad con una sífilis adquirida secundaria por lactancia materna que ingresó en el servicio de pediatría del Hospital General Provincial Docente de Morón. Se describen las características clínicas y los exámenes de laboratorio realizados, así como el tratamiento impuesto y se compara con la literatura médica revisada.
