Diabetes Mellitus secundaria a hiperfunciòn tiroidea. Presentación de un caso
Abstract
Se presenta paciente de 36 años de edad que ingresa en sala de medicina por presentar pérdida de peso de 60 libras en un periodo aproximado de tres meses, acompañado de decaimiento marcado y apetito intacto. Esto a la vez se asocia a disfagia para alimentos sólidos, aumento de volumen de la porción anterior del cuello y un salto en el epigastrio que le resulta molesto. Se estudia y se impone tratamiento con insulina, antiroideos de síntesis, betabloqueadores y vitaminoterapia; mejorando las manifestaciones clínicas en un 70%.
