Tratamiento de la Cervicalgia con técnicas de la medicina natural y tradicional en el consultorio numero veintiocho de Majagua.
Abstract
Se realizó un ensayo clínico terapéutico con cuarenta pacientes aquejados de cervicalgia que acudieron al consultorio número veintiocho de Majagua, tomando a veinte pacientes como grupo estudio teniendo como criterio de selección el grado de aceptación de las técnicas de medicina natural y tradicional. A este grupo se les aplicó la Digitopresión y masaje Shiatsu en diez sesiones como método de tratamiento a su afección; por otra parte se consideró como grupo control a los restantes veinte pacientes remitidos de la consulta de ortopedia de la policlínica Majagua con diagnóstico de Artrosis Cervical e indicación de tratamiento farmacológico habitual durante diez días. Existe un predominio de esta afección en el sexo femenino y una mayor incidencia en el grupo de edades comprendido entre 70 y 79 años, el número de días para la aparición del alivio fue menor en el caso del grupo estudio al igual que el número de días necesarios para lograr la remisión total de los síntomas, se valoraron los costos para las diferentes variantes de tratamiento medicamentoso en comparación con el masaje y la Digitopresión Shiatsu aplicadas, por lo que consideramos que es muy beneficioso el uso de estos métodos alternativos de tratamiento.
