Abstract

Se trazó como objetivo determinar la frecuencia de fumadores en el sector de la salud en la provincia de Ciego de Avila y compararlo con datos similares nacionales e internacionales, para esto fueron encuestados un total de 606 casos (30%) de un total de 2025 individuos que era nuestra población media a estudiar. Se detectaron 165 individuos fumadores, lo que representa un 27% del total, existiendo un marcado predominio de fumadores del sexo masculino (35%) sobre el femenino (24%), resaltando además que el habito de fumar es menor en los estudiantes (22%) que en los profesionales (33). Estos y otros datos pueden ser valorados y estudiados con la consulta de este material.
