Tratamiento del genu valgum en el niño por epifisiodesis temporal con grapas de blount.

Abstract

Se realiza un estudio en 148 niños con deformidad en Genu Valgum en el periodo comprendido entre 1990 a 1998, los cuales fueron tratados por epifisiodesis temporal con grapas de Blount en la cara interna de las rodillas, obteniéndose resultados excelentes en el 72.6 % de los casos, buenos en el 18.9%, regulares en el 7.4% y malos 2.0% de los casos. Se hace mención a las patologías que se asocian con mayor frecuencia, motivos de consultas, la edad, sexo, estado clínico-radiológico pre y post operatorio, núcleos epifisario grapado, tiempo de grapaje así como las complicaciones afrontadas.
