Manejo anestésico de la papilomatosis laríngea. Reporte de un caso

La Papilomatosis Laríngea es un tumor benigno de la laringe que se debe a la infección por el virus del papiloma humano. Puede aparecer en el primer año de edad y producen disfonía (que puede progresar a la afonía) y obstrucción respiratoria alta, caracterizada por estridor inspiratorio y retracciones intercos-tales, supraclaviculares, supraesternales y subxifoideas. El diagnóstico se hace por la laringoscopia directa y se confirma con el estudio histopatológico. En este trabajo se presenta un caso de un niño de 4 años de edad que ingresó en el Hospital General Provincial Docente Roberto Rodríguez Fernández con la variedad clínica de Papilomatosis Laríngea Juvenil. Se describen las características clínicas del pa-ciente, los exámenes gasométricos y se destaca el manejo anestésico mediante la técnica de ventilación transtraqueal a chorro.Downloads
