Social impact of lifestyles in the prevention of breast cancer
Abstract
The present work corresponds to a bibliographical revision on the social impact of lifestyles in theprevention of breast cancer; with the purpose of analyzing the way these two health determinants
have influence upon the prevention of this disease. Theoretical methods were used, with a historical
and logical approach in the documentary analysis and synthesis related to different bibliographical
revisions made to national and international literatures; where it was concluded that the positive
changes in lifestyles of the woman, have a beneficial effect in the prevention of breast cancer, the
psychological, familiar, labor and economic alterations, as well as the loss of productive and socially
active years, which provokes breast cancer diagnosis in the woman, can be diminished by changes in
lifestyles and practice of preventive behavior, it is necessary to develop an educational work with the
family to form or to modify lifestyle and to protect the health, in order to strengthen the unity, the
permanence, the authority and the prestige of it, improving aspects such as the educational level,
which allows to make easier the works of health promotion and prevention of breast cancer.
