Algunas características del Intento Suicida en el municipio Ciego de Ávila.

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio analítico de casos y controles retrospectivo con aquellos individuos que cometieron intento suicida en las áreas de salud pertenecientes al  Municipio de Ciego de Ávila en el período comprendido entre enero de 1999 a junio de 2000. se aplicaron criterios en la selección de los casos, en los controles y de exclusión; quedando la muestra conformada por 60 pacientes.

No se comprobó asociación entre el estado civil y el intento suicida. No existió asociación entre los hábitos tóxicos (alcoholismo) y el intento suicida, se encontró asociación entre el tipo de familia y el intento suicida El  percapita familiar influyó en el número de intentos suicidas al igual que las crisis familiares, con una alta significación estadística. Los antecedentes patológicos familiares de intento suicida y/o suicidio se asociaron notablemente a los casos de intento suicida estudiados .Se utilizaron los estadígrafos ods ration y x2 para realizar las pruebas de significación estadística, los resultados se representaron en tablas estadísticas y se llegó a las conclusiones que no existe asociación entre el estado civil y el intento suicida ,sí con la escolaridad y ocupación, no se encontró asociación entre el alcoholismo y el intento suicida no así con el tipo de familia que sí guarda relación, el percápita familiar bajo influyó en la aparición del intento suicida al igual que las crisis familiares. Los antecedentes patológicos familiares de intento suicida y/o suicidio se asociaron notablemente con el intento suicida.
