Acción de los fangos medicinales en pacientes portadores de Melasma.
Abstract
Se aclara que trabajos anteriores se ha tenido buenos resultados con la aplicación de fangos medicinales (barros peloides) en varias afecciones dermatológicas; sin embargo la observación de sus beneficios en el Melasma fue un hecho fortuito y al llevar a cabo este trabajo se obtuvo que al aplicar la misma con una frecuencia de dos veces por semana hasta 18 semanas, y evolucionando a los enfermos cada 15 días, se aprecia que los mejores resultados se alcanzaron a las 18 semanas, y de un total de 156 pacientes tratados, se le dio el alta a 114 (73.1%), en el 17.3% se notó una depigmentación franca de sus lesiones y solo en el 9.6% de los casos no observaron modificaciones relevante de su afección. No se detectaron efectos secundarios de importancia
