Clinical and Epidemiological Aspects of Patients with Inflammatory Neuropathies from the number 3 Basic Work Group (BWG) of “Patria” People’s Counsel.
Abstract
A descriptive observational and retrospective study was conducted during the year 2000, to get to know the behavior of some variables related to the morbimortality of pts. over 70 years of age as house inpatient of the number 3 BWG. A slight prevalence of males in these patients was demonstrated and the most affected age group was 81-89 years. The higher incidence were those mo. of November and December. The most frequent clinical manifestations were fever and chills, sharp chest pain. The most outstanding X-ray finding was the right lobar pneumonia.The prevailing complications were scars with scaling and muscular laxity. Nine pts. were reffered to hospital whose complications were Atelectasis, Generalized Sepsis and ARDS.Downloads
