A descriptive observational investigation was performed in order to analize some of the variables related with the mortality in elderly patients at the Internal Medicine Service of the General Provincial Teaching Hospital of Morón city, 1999. Brochopneumonia and cerebro-vascular accidents have been the most frequent causes of death in all age groups. Necropsy was performed to 65.2% of the patients. Brochopneumonia and severe ahortic atheromatosis, provailing as the anatomopathologic diagnoses in all age groups. There was a clinical pathological correlation in 77.9% of the examined patients.Downloads
