Hiperinsulinemia-euglicemia para el tratamiento de la intoxicación con bloqueadores de los canales de calcio
Abstract
Los medicamentos bloqueadores de los canales de calcio (BCC) fueron introducidos en la práctica médica en la década del ´60 y en estos momentos están dentro de los fármacos más frecuentemente utilizados para el tratamiento de las afecciones cardiovasculares (1). Su eficacia ha sido probada en pacientes con hipertensión arterial, angina de pecho y arritmias cardíacas y pueden ser beneficiosos en aquellos con disfunción diastólica del ventrículo izquierdo, fenómeno de Raynaud, enfermedad cerebrovascular, migraña, espasmo esofágico e infarto agudo de miocardio no transmural (también conocido como Infarto no-Q) (2). Este amplio uso ha favorecido la aparición más frecuente de pacientes que experimentan intoxicación por sobredosis, accidental o intencional, creando así una situación que puede tener consecuencias fatales(3).
