Efectos adversos de los Inhibidores de la enzima conversora de la angiotensina.(IECA). Artículo de revisión
Abstract
Los IECA son medicamentos usados en el tratamiento de la HTA porque disminuyen la resistencia vascular sistémica y las presiones arteriales media, diastólica, y sistólica en diversos estados de la hipertensión. Han demostrado su eficacia en el tratamiento de la disfunción sistólica del ventrículo izquierdo con o sin insuficiencia cardiaca. Todos los efectos beneficiosos conocidos de los IECA los hacen medicamentos de una elevada frecuencia de uso, sobre todo en pacientes con alteraciones cardiovasculares por lo que es necesario que la comunidad médica conozca también los efectos adversos que ellos pueden producir. Estos conocimientos deben ayudar a nuestros mèdicos a realizar un buen ejercicio de selección de medicamento de acciòn cardiovascular, teniendo en cuenta los riesgos y beneficios que obtendrían sus pacientes con el uso de estos medicamentos.
