Análisis de la calidad de la atención médica en pacientes con diagnóstico de leptospirosis
Abstract
El presente estudio es un diseño descriptivo y se realizó en el Hospital Provincial "Dr Antonio Luaces Iraola" de Ciego de Ávila, durante tres años, con el objetivo de analizar la calidad de la atención médica sobre Leptospirosis en el servicio de Medicina Interna. A cada caso con diagnostico presuntivo se le aplicó una encuesta para conocer el cumplimiento del criterio de sospecha de la OMS, la investigación serológica, la aplicación de antibióticos, periodo entre el inicio de los síntomas y el ingreso, letalidad y ocupaciones. El 82.7% de los encuestados reunió el criterio de sospecha de la OMS, solo el 17.8% completó el estudio sexológico. Se detectaron factores negativos para la letalidad como no aplicación de antibióticos al ingreso en el 100% de los casos y demora en el ingreso en el 32.6% de ellos. El 22.6% de los sospechosos no tenían ocupaciones de riesgo.
