Características clínico-epidemiológicas en el retardo del crecimiento intrauterino.
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo sobre algunas características clínico epidemiológicas de gestantes con el diagnóstico de un retardo del crecimiento intrauterino (CIUR) en 102 pacientes atendidas en el servicio de Ginecobstetricia del Hospital Provincial “Dr. Antonio Luaces Iraola”, en el período de tiempo comprendido de enero a diciembre 2000 – 2001, encontrando que las frecuencias de CIUR en nuestro estudio fueron de 2 %. Como antecedente obstétrico se reportaron la primiparidad, la ganancia insuficiente de peso, el hábito de fumar y el bajo nivel socio económico. Señalamos la hipertensión arterial y el asma bronquial como las enfermedades más frecuentes que se observaron en estas pacientes. Por su parte la anemia y la hipertensión inducida por el embarazo fueron las enfermedades que más complicaron la gestación. Se refleja el análisis y la discusión de los resultados, los cuales se expresan en tablas con una distribución porcentual de los factores de riesgo.
