El ejercicio físico con fines terapéuticos en la diabetes mellitus

Abstract

La cultura física terapéutica tiene gran importancia no sólo para el mejoramiento de la salud humana, sino también para la prevención y rehabilitación del individuo. Hoy ella es parte obligatoria del tratamiento médico en todas las instituciones profilácticas curativas. Sin dudas el desarrollo de la cultura física terapéutica en Cuba favorecerá el fortalecimiento de la dirección  profiláctica de la medicina. Es por eso que el ejercicio físico ha sido considerado durante años elemental en el tratamiento al diabético, por los beneficios que aporta  para la rehabilitación y compensación de estos pacientes.
