Rehabilitación comunitaria del trauma medular. Presentación de un caso.
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio observaciónal descriptivo con el objetivo de lograr mediante la actividad física influir en la rehabilitación del trauma medular en el Área Terapéutica de Cultura Física de Morón, en el período de tiempo comprendido desde el 8 de enero de 2004 al 22 de diciembre del 2004, a un paciente diagnosticado con fractura por aplastamiento vertebral de L2 con compromiso neurológico, intervenido quirúrgicamente en varias ocasiones y dependiente para las actividades de la vida diaria, sin deambular y no poseer condiciones económicas para costearse la transportación al Centro Rehabilitador, por lo cual se evaluó fisiátricamente en su Comunidad, se prescribió tratamiento postural, físico-general y psicológico, con ínter consultas periódicas y supervisión de las indicaciones, se utilizó frecuencia de lunes a viernes con duración de 50 minutos en la sesión matutina y libre en la vespertina y como elementos de análisis el comportamiento de la marcha, la fuerza muscular, reflectividad, sensibilidad y actividades de la vida diaria. Resultando positiva la actividad física en el proceso de rehabilitación integral con recuperación de la fuerza muscular, deambulando sin ayuda externa e independencia, así como su reinserción socio-laboral como aporte.
