Craneotomía descompresiva fronto-parieto-temporal en el hematoma subdural agudo. Revisión del tema.
Abstract
El Hematoma Subdural Agudo (HSA) representa una de las mayores causas de muerte e incapacidad dentro de las patologías debidas al neurotrauma. Es por ello, que su tratamiento neuroquirúrgico presenta gran variedad de abordajes quirúrgicos. La craneotomía descompresiva fronto-parieto-temporal ha resultado ser el método más eficaz para la evacuación de estos hematomas. La técnica no es complicada y provee de una craneotomía amplia que permite aumentar la compliancia cerebral,con lo cual se pueden evitar las herniaciones cerebrales, mejorar las alteraciones neurológicas producidas por el síndrome de compresión cerebral y con ello,mejorar el pronóstico. Con esta técnica se ha logrado mejorar la mortalidad al 50- 60 %.
