Abstract

Se realizo una revisión bibliográfica con el objetivo de dar a conocer los avances de esta entidad, tanto su fisiopatología, con especial énfasis en las alteraciones genéticas y la disfunción del endotelio vascular pulmonar, la clasificación  auspiciada por la OMS en 1998, su diagnóstico, tratamiento médico convencional y medidas de apoyo y tratamiento quirúrgico, así como las nuevas estrategias de la enfermedad.
