The ethical thought of the Doctor
Abstract
Introduction: The aim of the medical profession is to relieve the human suffering, and passes in simultaneous and complex planes confronting daily to kendred in difficult moments of illnesses, losses and mourning. Some questions are derived of this. Will we be prepared human and technically to build a medical-patient relation that allow to listen the problem that it poses and collaborate to its solution with wide look? How to handle the storm of passions of each patient or relative in front of the contact with the suffering, ailments, anxiety and depression, that generate the illnesses; running the risk to take decisions that can help or to damage? Objective: Stimulate in health professionals the reflection on the subjective objective duality of the ethical thought during the attention to ill people. Material and Method: The available evidence was studied in sources of electronic information available in Infomed, biomedical journals and books. Between 1970 and 2012, 60 articles were reviewed chosen randomly, 17 of them gathered as inclusion criteria some topics related to the ethical and bioethical in the medical profession exercise. A questionnaire was structured and it constituted the work body. Conclusions: We should think about our human values, to see patients and relatives like people that have dignity. A patient is “a human being that suffers, thinks, love and dreams".Downloads
