Hidrocefalia postinfecciosa por estreptococo pneumoniae en un recién nacido.
Abstract
La hidrocefalia es una de las complicaciones más frecuentes de las infecciones del sistema nervioso central pudiéndose hacer su diagnóstico por la clínica y ultrasonografía transfotanelar. Se presenta un paciente masculino de 19 días de nacido con hidrocefalia comunicante secundaria a meningoencefalitis por estreptococo pneumoniae diagnosticada en el Hospital Provincial Docente “Dr. Antonio Luaces Iraola”, que tiene significación por ser un germen poco frecuente en el recién nacido, por su evolución tórpida con complicaciones tanto vasculares como neurológicas.Downloads
