Chronology of the permanent Tooth Eruption in the population of the Northern Health Area of Moron municipality
Abstract
It was carried out an observational descriptive study to determine the chronology of eruption and teething order of permanent teeth, as well as another analytical of cases and control study to establish the association between the chronological alterations of the eruption and established risk factors; in the population from 5 to 13 years of age of the Northern Health Area of Moron municipality, Ciego de Avila´s province, from April 2011 to April, 2012. There was used a stratified sample of 1 176 of the minor's universe from 5 to 13 years of the area. An information chart was made for the study, validated by experts. There were compiled as variables: sex, skin color, maxilla, age and teething order of permanent teeth. Also the risk factors: socioeconomic, heredity and local factors. Ending up that the first tooth that emerged was the first lower permanent molar. The female sex, the mixed race skin color and the mandible teeth emerged a little earlier than most of dental groups. There was established an eruption and teething order of permanent teeth. The risk factors: age, skin color, socioeconomic, heredity and local factors were combined with statistical significance to the chronological alterations of the eruption.Downloads
