La salud pública en el contexto latinoamericano: Colombia
Abstract
El presente artículo es un trabajo referativo de terminación de la estancia en Introducción a la MGI,consiste en una revisión bibliográfica con el objetivo de hacer un recorrido por todo el contexto político
social de un país latinoamericano: Colombia, mostrar su situación sanitaria y lo que se ha hecho en
materia de salud pública, o sea, las acciones necesarias para mejorar el estado de salud de la
población. En esta nación no se ha implantado un Programa Integral de Salud con la ayuda cubana,
todo lo que se hace y lo que se decide en materia de salud depende exclusivamente de su gobierno y
de entidades privadas. Dado que en América Latina, los embates neoliberales han polarizado la riqueza
y la pobreza, no puede hablarse de una salud con equidad, porque no puede haber equidad sin justicia
social.
