Comportamiento de la insuficiencia renal aguda en la unidad de cuidados intensivos
Abstract
Para evaluar el comportamiento de la Insuficiencia Renal Aguda en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital Provincial “Dr. Antonio Luaces Iraola¨ de Ciego de Ávila en el período de enero-diciembre del 2004, se realizó un estudio descriptivo con los pacientes portadores de Insuficiencia Renal Aguda ingresados. La muestra estuvo constituida por 61 pacientes. Se analizó causas de Insuficiencia Renal, Edad, Sexo, Factores de riesgo de muerte, tiempo de tratamiento y tiempo de recuperación de la función renal. Los datos se procesaron por métodos automatizados. El 11% de los pacientes con Insuficiencia Renal Aguda eran portadores de un Shock Séptico; el 16.4% eran del sexo masculino y entre 66-75 años de edad. El 11.6% sobrevivió y eran portadores de un seguimiento postoperatorio de cirugía intestinal y el 8.3% fallecieron con un shock séptico. El 89.8% recuperó la función renal con tratamiento médico después de 48 horas. La oligoanuria en el 36.1% fue el principal factor de muerte.
