Artritis séptica. Presentación de un caso

Abstract

Se presenta un escolar de cuatro años de edad, mal nutrido, con poliparasitismo intestinal y anemia crónica que acude a consulta por una lesión séptica abierta de la rodilla derecha de larga data, que no había acudido a consulta por vivir en la periferia de la provincia de Zambézia, República de Mozambique. Previo al ingreso le habían practicado tratamiento tradicional. En el examen físico e imagenológico constatamos una artritis séptica que destruyó totalmente la articulación. Se le realizaron desbridamientos secuenciales y demandantes diarios por su gravedad, que luego se espaciaron. A los 4 meses se egresó con resultados satisfactorios
